BioUpper is the initiative promoted by Novartis Farma and Fondazione Cariplo, in collaboration with IBM Italy, powered by Cariplo Factory and supported by Comin & Partners, aimed at facilitating the growth of the most innovative Italian startups.

The initiative is aimed to help entrepreneurs, researchers and digital startups, ready to get involved to develop innovative projects in the digital health and life sciences fields. The selected innovative teams and startups take part in a tailor-made business acceleration program, which helps them to define the business concept, reduce time to market and develop business solutions with the best company leaders leading in the health field.

The fourth edition of BioUpper took place on the 6th October 2020 in Milan, at BASE Milano. For the occasion, we produced and delivered a hybrid event, combining in-person keynote speakers, remote start-up and in-person jury. Everything was broadcasted online for the audience.

The main challenge of the event was to manage the interaction of multiple stakeholders and to allow every single participant to engage with the others.
